The Global Markets Finance & Services (GMF&S) business provides cross product prime broker services (financing, custody, accounting, clearance/settlement, reporting) to hedge fund, institutional and broker/dealer clients globally. The business is centered in New York, London and Hong Kong, supporting clients both regionally and globally.
Job Description:
  • Manage and develop a team of 15 Margin professionals
  • Develop departmental procedures and controls, ensuring global consistency
  • Participate in Sales calls with prospective and current Prime Brokerage clients
  • Coordinate all project management initiatives for Prime Brokerage Margin / Risk
  • Ensure compliance with all FINRA and SEC regulations.
  • Interface with the client and with Merrill Lynch management, client service, sales, etc regarding margin and risk issues
  • Thoroughly understand the legal structure, business, and trading strategies for all clients.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Accounting or Finance degree, CPA or CFA preferable
  • In-depth knowledge of prime brokerage and hedge fund trading strategies
  • Familiarity with margin/capital regulations (15c3-1; NYSE Rule 431; FRB Regulation T & U, Portfolio Margining methodologies)
  • Knowledge of enhanced leverage products
  • Project management experience
  • 5-10 years management experience covering multiple functions
  • Solid presentation skills
